First Polish companies investing abroad – AIMS supports their international development
To date Central European companies have been mostly receiving investments from Western Economies. In the last couple of years local Central European companies are increasingly going abroad, to neighbouring CEE countries and beyond. AIMS has just been involved in supporting an important Polish chemical company in their acquisition of a large Romanian chemical factory, employing close to 1.200 people. The AIMS task was to combine the knowledge of HR practices in Poland and Romania and propose HR solutions that will be competitive in the global market. One of the key elements was to assess the quality of the existing HR structures and people (mostly in management positions) and propose development programmes, including internal and external recruitment processes.
